K-12 SCHOOL UNIFORM POLICY
The
General Guidelines
Student in grades Kindergarten through twelve shall wear school uniforms that are clean, neat, fit to the correct size, in good repair, and will not be a health or safety hazard to themselves or others.
Uniforms Required
The District has determined that the use of school uniforms will improve the learning environment for students and has adopted the use of student uniforms as specified in these guidelines. New students moving into the district have ten (10) calendar days to comply with the uniform policy.
Uniform Specifications
Girls’ Dress Uniform
1. Pants/Bottoms: -Pants,
shorts, skirts, and skorts
(No Denim)
-Colors: Black, Khaki, Navy Blue (Solid Colors Only)
-Pants must be straight-legged, with standard front pockets.
-No Cargo pants or Cargo Shorts
-Shorts, skirts, and skorts must be no shorter than three inches
above the knee
2. Shirts/Blouses: -Polo-styled or Button-down
-Colors: Black, Khaki, Navy Blue, White, Gold
-Shirts/Blouses must have collars and sleeves.
-All Shirts must be tucked in
3. Sweaters -Cardigan sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies (however, hoods may not be worn inside a building) and vests may be worn.
-Colors: Black, Khaki, Navy Blue, White, Gold
4. Socks/Tights -Must be solid colors only (within color choices)
5. Belts -If pants have belt loops then a belt should be worn. Belts must be solid colors only (within color choices)
6. Shoes -No flip-flops or house shoes are allowed. (Any type of reasonable shoe apparel will be considered or left to the discretion of the principal).
7. Accessories -No headgear is allowed i.e. hats, wave caps/doo rags, or head scarves (unless medically necessary). Any type of jewelry will be considered and will be at the discretion of the principal.
Boys’ Dress Uniform

Note: No manufacturer’s logos or brand names larger than 1 inch by 1 inch will be allowed.
Note: School Spirit tops may be worn (only on designated days) in school colors; black, gold, white or combination.
Compliance With Uniform Policy
The consequences for
non-compliance of the school uniform policy will be as follows:
First Offense: Warning
Second Offense: Informal
Suspension and parent contact
Third Offense: In-school-suspension
Fourth Offense: Detention/Saturday school
(After exhausted, Suspension Policy will go into affect)
